A wonderful monastery in a great location - highly recommended.

The actual town of Rieti has many ancient medieval buildings that are well worth a look including: the Cathedral, Palazzo Vescovile (Bishops Palace), Palazzo Communale (Town hall) and the Gothic Church of Sant'Agostino. Rieti is only around one hour drive from Rome and is a perfect place for those wanting to experience something different from the hustle and bustle of the Italian capital. Rieti is also one of the best skiing destinations in winter!
