Bassano Romano sits in between Lake Bracciano and Lake Vico. The town is also close to Sutri, a small comune where you can see remains of the ancient city walls or the remarkable rock-cut Madonna del Patro church.

Simple room but perfect. Good location but not suitable unless have your own vehicle. Great value for money and meal option was great value, enjoyed the meals which were very delicious.

History

The church at the lodging was originally built in 1631. Many years after this, the church was in a state of neglect, until it was repaired and reopened in 1945. It was used to house children orphaned by World War II, and at one stage in the 1970's hosted around 650 children. Since 1983, it has been remodelled and refurbished and opened to offer accommodation.
