Robin - MD, USA (March 2023)
Clean, peaceful and comfortable, all staff smiling and helpful. One if the sisters was particularly helpful finding me gluten free products at breakfast time. Thank you very much hope to return next year
Julia - , United Kingdom (January 2023)
Loved it. The location cannot be beat, the rooms are clean and quiet, the AC is magnificent, and the little garden in the back is a wonderful sanctuary.
Katrina - BC, Canada (July 2022)
Nice, quiet neighborhood
Karla - WI, United States (May 2022)
Très bon séjour. Je recommande la Casa Caburlotto. Très bon accueil, chambre propre et confortable. Très bon emplacement. Seul bémol, le petit-déjeuner est de piètre qualité.
Marie - , France (April 2022)
we are very satisfied for our stay. Thank you very much Danielle et François
Danielle - , France (June 2021)
Everybody was very friendly, location is unbeatable.
Gerard - , Germany (July 2020)
We found the atmosphere friendly, the staff very helpful and obliging, and it was all very clean and comfortable. All other things were excellent, and it was a delight to stay there.
Br. Peter - RM, Italy (January 2020)
I would particularly like to thank Arianna, the receptionist for all her help. She really was excellent.
Anne Marie - PerthshireandKinross, United Kingdom (November 2019)
Everyone who worked during our stay, and the sisters, were friendly, polite, and helpful. Our room overlooked one of the canals and had a beautiful sunset view, and was within easy walking distance of the train station. The monastery is quiet, peaceful, and clean.
Eileen - NH, United States (November 2019)
The monastery was very convenient and easy to find from Palazzo Roma. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers and the breakfast was good. We would stay here again.
John - VA, United States (October 2019)
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Carburlotto and would stay again if we travel to Venice.
Linda - MA, United States (September 2019)
Great location & wonderful place to stay in Venice.
Ron - BC, Canada (September 2019)
Everyone at Casa Caburlotto was very helpful and pleasant.
Jodie Clarke - VIC, Australia (September 2019)
The breakfast was simple but plentiful - cereal, croissants, pastries, rolls, ham, cheese, juice, tea & coffee.
A quiet area with comfortable bed and very clean room. The staff were excellent - very informative and helpful and we were even able to use their printer (for a very small fee) to print a voucher. Would recommend staying here.
Susan - QLD, Australia (August 2019)
This was our first time at this monastery and it was wonderful. The location was perfect, the breakfast was amazing, and the ladies that worked the desk were the very best. I truly appreciate the hospitality!
Coleen - MD, USA (July 2019)
The room was next to a canal but it was best to keep the window closed. The staff were very helpful. There was a German choir practising in the chapel for their concert that night and that provided a wonderful backdrop to just sitting in the garden and enjoying the context. The breakfast also offered a little more and the nuns were very attentive to the guests needs.
Greg - CA, United States (June 2019)
It is a good place to stay in Venice.
Elena - CIUDAD AUT?NOMA DE BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (June 2019)
Our group thoroughly enjoyed their stay. It was very clean and having wifi was a bonus. Rooms overall were fine. Beds on the hard side but fine for 2 nights. Some were bitten as they left their window open and there aren't any screens to keep the bugs out.
Adriana was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Monastery Stays and Casa Caburlotto, especially for groups or those wishing to be near the cruise ports. Thank you!
Nancy - NS, Canada (May 2019)
The accommodation was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was as we expected, continental style. There was plenty of choice and food available. The garden at the back is beautiful and a very peaceful place to sit during the day. The chapel, likewise was a very peaceful and reflective space.
Margaret - SA, Australia (April 2019)
We all had a great stay at the Casa Caburlotto
Lucy - Kent, United Kingdom (January 2019)
Very easy walking distance from main train station on Venice - even with luggage. Check in was quick and easy - all the reception staff on the front desk were always helpful - not just with tourist stuff but also helping practise my Italian.
Accommodation was basic but excellent. Free Wifi was very quick and reliable.
Breakfast was Continental - but good variety and filling. Serviced by the Sisters, who were very friendly and interactive with guests.
Lovely garden area that we sat in of an evening if we brought back food.
Location was great - close to good restaurants, shops and a Post Office.
Would definitely stay here again when we return to Venice.
David - QLD, Australia (October 2018)
Friendly helpful staff. Very well located: we didn't have to walk far from the train station with our luggage and that is very important in Venice where there are many stairs. We were also easily able to walk everywhere from Casa Carburlotto. There are many places to eat nearby. We enjoyed sitting in the lovely garden. There is not much greenery in Venice so the garden was welcome. We would definitely stay here again.
Wendy - , New Zealand (October 2018)
The property was in excellent condition, very clean and a modern bathroom! The mattress could have been a little softer.
Patricia - OH, United States (October 2018)
Loved it. Felt very safe and staff very helpful and attentive.
Elizabeth - , United Kingdom (September 2018)
A lovely, lovely place. The people there were all so welcoming and friendly and just lovely. Very organised and helpful.
Peta - VIC, Australia (September 2018)
Great! Very friendly staff! Very easy to reach from Piazzale Roma.
Maike - Niedersachsen, Germany (September 2018)
Very comfortable and friendly.
Jonathan - , United Kingdom (August 2018)
Breakfast was good! Front desk people were helpful.
Anne - WI, United States (July 2018)
This is my second time at Casa Caburlotto and I am again very happy I chose it for the class. The staff were very nice and welcoming, the location is lovely, and the inner courtyard just a perfect refuge. My heartfelt thanks to the staff for allowing us to use a "sala" when it rained so that we could have class discussion! Our time at Casa Caburlotto added to the charms of Venice. Grazie!
Ursula - IN, USA (May 2018)
Staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We liked the location - near to a piazza with bars and restaurants popular with university students. For a school or college group the accommodation was absolutely ideal. The rooms are quite basic, but very well maintained, clean, and with good bathrooms. My pupils (who have been quite fussy about other hotels we have used) had no complaints at all.
Dr. Richard - , UK (April 2018)
So much to love about Casa Caburlotto, starting with the hospitable staff. Loved Venice and loved the care offered at this monastery stay.
Nancy - WA, United States (April 2018)
Beautiful monastery, very strict in their curfew, expect a lot of walking to get to the rest of Venice, but so close to the train station and vaporettos!
Simone - NY, USA (April 2018)
Had a wonderful stay, lovely people, lovely breakfast. Quiet and warm. Loved the simplicity.
Debi - , United Kingdom (February 2018)
We LOVED staying at Casa Caburlotto!:). We would definitely return in the future for future Biennale!:)
Brian - Vienna, Austria (October 2017)
Away from all the noise to ensure a good night rest.
Christina - NSW, Australia (October 2017)
We greatly appreciate the hospitality of the monastery and the welcoming of the lady staff, so smiling and kind. The location is a must, happily to refer to everybody would like to visit Venice.
Bich - CA, United States (September 2017)
Thanks for a perfect stay on Venice.
Lydia - London, United Kingdom (September 2017)
Clean and good value. Easy walk to train station and airport bus. Keys are noisy to get in and out of bathroom and room doors. Maybe a less clunky door number holder would help. Breakfast room was lovely and loved the cheese and meat and yogurt. Would stay again.
Joanne - Ontario, Canada (August 2017)
Very Friendly & helpful staff. Nice & quiet & clean.
Stefano - , Mauritius (August 2017)
Facility was excellent. Francesca at the front desk was extremely courteous and helpful.
Steve - WA, United States (August 2017)
We had a wonderful short stay. It was very hot during our stay and it was lovely to come back to an A/C room, thank you!
Simon - ACT, Australia (July 2017)
Thank you to everyone. We enjoyed our stay and felt like it was our home, especially when it rained one night in Venice and we stayed in the premises.
Mary Louise - CO, USA (June 2017)
Great location was easy to find from the train station. Very nice staff.
Stefanie - VA, United States (June 2017)
Everything was wonderful except the size of the bathroom which was tiny for a triple room! The hosts were very gracious about us leaving our luggage after check out in order to complete our sightseeing. Thanks for a peaceful stay.
Andrew & Sharmila - Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Sri Lanka (May 2017)
Great location, clean comfortable room, filling breakfast and great value. Would recommend.
Sharon - Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (April 2017)
The reception staff were wonderful - friendly, helpful, unobtrusive. The only problems we had with sleep were that the room was a bit echo-y so that other people moving furniture in rooms above or beside us was very audible, as were a few other, rowdy younger guests (part of a school group?). This was nothing earplugs couldn't solve (and did). The breakfast was plentiful, satisfying and delicious...particularly the croissants and hot chocolate (and the hot chocolate was from a machine! But it was still excellent! How is that possible?!!)
Alison - NC, United States (April 2017)
Service, friendliness of the staff was faultless, the breakfasts very good and the value excellent overall.
Thank you .
Kay - North Yorkshire, United Kingdom (January 2017)
We enjoyed our stay and would return.
Curt - PA, United States (September 2016)
The location was great. Very close to the bus station. The room was clean and simple. Though a few bugs did come through the open windows. The service was wonderful and the Breakfast was absolutely delicious. My stay was wonderful and I would definitely stay at Casa Caburlotto again. Thank you for a great stay!
Kathrine - KY, United States (September 2016)
The breakfast was one the best in the whole of Italy. There was a dining room for self catering, garden & sitting areas. The youghurt & cereal was very attractive for Australians who don't eat cake & sweet bread and you actually had BUTTER for the bread. So impressed with the breaky for cereal eaters. The staff were friendly & helpful & the rooms were great too
Christpher - Victoria, Australia (September 2016)
Identification was good and the reception personal friendly and helpful, the room is very clean and tidy with good bathroom facilities of top quality as was the hot water and shower!
Location is very accessible to the train/bus and Vaporetto
Michael - ACT, Australia (September 2016)
Very nice service, very friendly people; excellent breakfast with very nice food choice and good coffee. The air-conditioning in the bedroom makes a difference as Venice can be "smelly" at times. Loved the stay, love Venice.
Gilles - Victoria, Australia (September 2016)
Very quiet and peaceful. Rooms were very clean. A little hard to find. Very close to restaurants.
Camille - MO, United States (September 2016)
Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and great location - quiet yet walking distance to all the attraction in Florence
Stephen - British Columbia, Canada (September 2016)
It was wonderful.
Gregory - Ontario, Canada (August 2016)
Great location for our one night stay...close to the cruise ship we got off, easy to catch a bus to the airport. Interesting neighborhood to walk around, easy to get to Piazza San Marco. Staff was very friendly and helpful, beautiful courtyard to sit in, rare for venice, spotless rooms.
Mary - NJ, United States (August 2016)
Clean, Quiet, Convenient location to the train station. The Staff was most pleasant and helpful with excellent recommendations for dinner.
Ilene - CO, United States (July 2016)
I have no complaints whatsoever.
• Location was excellent - close to restaurants, transport (buses, taxis, vaporetto).
• staff were friendly, courteous, well-mannered, and very helpful with giving information about getting around Venice, places of interest, bus & train timetables, but especially in accommodating my requests with room changes and the type of room and amenities on short notice,, etc.
• Room was cleaned every day, bed made, and overall cleanliness was excellent. Cleaning staff were very helpful and obliging.
• Breakfast was excellent - an abundant amount of a variety of good fresh food and drinks.
Thank you, and thank the whole staff for excellent, very professional service.
On my return home, I spoke many good things about my stay there, and I will have no hesitation in recommending Casa Caburlotto to family and friends.
Frank - New South Wales, Australia (June 2016)
Clean, friendly, breakfast included which was great. Close to ferry and good eating places and station. Nice to have chapel and garden area.
Leonie M - New South Wales, Australia (June 2016)
It was really wonderful and the staff were superb - it really made our stay in Venice quite memorable. Will definitely go again!
Jacobus - Western Cape, South Africa (May 2016)
We very much enjoyed our stay and are grateful for the kind assistance of Casa Caburlotto's staff. I would take another class to stay with them! They very kindly let us use both the backyard and another breakfast area to have class meetings. The only thing some students had trouble with were the beds, because they squeaked and kept them awake a bit.
Dr. Ursula - IN, USA (May 2016)
Great place to stay in a quieter neighbourhood. Easy access to boats & restaurants. The staff are friendly, helpful & professional.
Alison - British Columbia, Canada (May 2016)
I found this a very nice place to stay in Venice .
The location was very convenient ....we felt welcomed and secure ...the garden was lovely ....the breakfast very simple and nice .
Meridith - New South Wales, Australia (May 2016)
The house is quite simple, but safe and quiet, with a lift, which is handy.
The girls and boys who work in reception were wonderful, as were the sisters I met.
Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable.
Helen - Victoria, Australia (May 2016)
When we arrived, we were greeted by Elena. She was great at making us feel very welcome and comfortable. We definitely reccomend Casa Caburlotto and will stay there again whenever we return to Venice.
Luis - TX, United States (April 2016)
Excellent house - clean, quiet rooms, good location (short walk from Santa Lucia Station), friendly staff and fast internet.
Phil - , Australia (October 2015)
Not the best location, but friendly staff. WiFi only works downstairs. Quiet place.
Nataliya - CA, United States (October 2015)
Very happy overall, delightful staff and great location. My one issue is that there are no facilities to make a hot drink (using your own tea bags etc.), which is quite hard when you're travelling or out exploring all day.
Barbara - Hampshire, United Kingdom (September 2015)
The staff was excellent, very accommodating. Sister in the breakfast room and others very friendly. Breakfast was typical italian with breads, butter and spreads, pastries, coffee, juices and included yogurt. My room was small, but this is a former convent, so I expected that. The place was spotlessly clean.
Lisa - RI, United States (September 2015)
I liked that the Casa was so centrally located. Easy to find my way back.
Mydrille - CA, United States (September 2015)
Lovely place to stay on a quiet canal only five minutes walk from the main railway station. Local restaurants were good offering a variety of affordable choices.
The hotel staff were just wonderful and couldn't have been more helpful. A wonderful base for Venetian explorations!
Paul - , New Zealand (July 2015)
It was a very pleasant stay. The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms and towels, bedding, etc. impeccably clean.
Blanca - Lima, Peru (July 2015)
Very nice location, lovely building and very helpful reception staff.
Janet - OH, United States (June 2015)
The service was excellent, the atmosphere was calm and tranquil. I had forgotten breakfast was included so that was a nice surprise. I liked the genteel surroundings and comportment of all the other guests and staff.
Amanda - Hampshire, United Kingdom (June 2015)
Excellent location. Very nice and friendly.
Anne - East Renfrewshire, United Kingdom (June 2015)
We loved our 2-night stay. Picturesque old-town side of Venice. Clean, efficient. Great shower. Beds are hard. Quiet nights. Enjoy!
Rhonda - AZ, United States (May 2015)
Friendly, clean, homely. I will recommend this site to others
Wendy - South Australia, Australia (May 2015)
We enjoyed our stay at Casa Caburlotto - it is well run, quiet, clean, the grounds are lovely and the complimentary continental breakfast was very good. It is close to Piazzale Roma which means it is close to the bus terminal, taxis, cruise docks, etc. To get to St Mark's Square, one can walk (about 30 minutes) or take a vaporetta. There are several restaurants close by.
Lorraine - Alberta, Canada (November 2014)
Very nice, quite location with helpful staff
Joseph - OK, United States (November 2014)
Liked the place and everybody was very friendly. Great they even spoke German! One thing I did not really like was the kind of breakfast. I think there should be a few more fresh things available.
Johannes - Middlesex, United Kingdom (October 2014)
Bathroom was cold
Eston - LA, United States (October 2014)
Perfect... I am telling everyone about it and how great it was. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Nancy - British Columbia, Canada (September 2014)
An excellent, quiet location but very close to transport - vaporettos, airport bus and train station. A lovely welcome. Terrific breakfast, better than we expected. Cheerful, helpful, professional staff. We loved our stay here.
Marilyn - Victoria, Australia (September 2014)
Loved the place! The staff was incredibly awesome, and couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. The accommodations were clean, the food was very filing and tasty, and the building itself was interesting. If I return to Venice, or know of anyone traveling there, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Amy - NY, United States (September 2014)
Very pleasant stay at Casa Caburlotto. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the facility was wonderfully maintained.
Brad - MN, United States (August 2014)
I am generally very satisfied with Casa Caburlotto. My only criticism is that the beds are very basic. They are narrow, with springs on a metal frame, and a thin mattress. Otherwise, I think Casa Caburlotto offers good value for money.
Linda - New South Wales, Australia (July 2014)
Excellent location. Close to St Lucia train station and very close to Piazzale Roma. Very clean and quiet and extremely friendly people. The gulls can get a bit loud and wake you up early though.
Esther - Karnataka, India (June 2014)
The beds and pillows are very hard. I would still recommend this venue as everything else was fantastic!!
Terry - KZN, South Africa (June 2014)
Our stay at Casa Caburlotto was excellent and could not have been better. Our room overlooked the canal, the walk from the train station was short, the breakfast was bountiful and the service was excellent. The wi-fi could have been stronger, but there was an old computer in the public room downstairs where you could get on to the internet. (Figuring out the Italian keyboard in order to find the @ symbol was interesting!). The garden had chairs and tables, which we did not use as we stayed busy our entire stay, but they looked really inviting. The location was only 2 blocks from Piazalle Roma, where one could leave luggage in the 'left luggage' facility, as well as get a shuttle to the airport, as well as buy tickets to the Vaporettos as well as board them. We loved it here and would go back in a heartbeat!
Kay - WI, United States (May 2014)
Good position on arriving in Venice - not too far to walk. Very friendly and helpful reception and breakfast room staff.
Michael - Lincolnshire, United Kingdom (May 2014)
Close proximity to train station and public transit made this a great spot for our very short stay in Venice. I would definitely stay there again.
Susan - British Columbia, Canada (April 2014)
Location was excellent. The breakfast was very poor - from powdered orange juice to a variety of the cheapest possible sliced cake. We went out for breakfast (costing 4Euros) which was much better. a more limited choice, of better quality food, would improve the experience.
The staff were mostly pleasant and helpful and it really is a place of calm in an incredibly busy city.
Barbara - Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (April 2014)
The office and service personnel were very professional and helpful in advising on sights to see and directions. The rooms were immaculate - clean! Only one disappointment - the internet was terrible. It was supposedly available only on the first floor but it was very inconsistent. Logging on took a very long time and in most cases, we could not log on. Numerous times, our web server stated that the internet wi-fi supplier did not have a trusted site.
Ric - British Columbia, Canada (April 2014)
It was very clean, quiet and nice place!
Boram - Seoul, South Korea (November 2013)
EXCELLENT! The staff were extremely helpful, the hotel is very close to the train station but not in the tourist strip and so is quiet at night, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast good and there is adequate wi-fi (but only in the first floor common areas) plus a internet enabled computer for use by all. What really makes Casa Carbulotto truly fantastic is the kindness of the staff, who were EXTREMELY knowledgeable, determined, helpful and had a great working knowledge of Venice - I ended up staying two extra nights for a week total because it was such a comfortable place to stay. the only disadvantage is that it's on the far west side of Venice, so the attractions are a bit of a walk - the good thing about that though is you only have to drag your rolling bag across three bridges to get to the hotel (Venice is like a treadmill crossed with a stair-climber, what with all the bridges) plus it's easy to find. I would absolutely recommend Casa Carbulotto and look forward to staying there again, and am already recommending it to friends who travel - it's an excellent deal for the money in Venice, which is always expensive.
Zack - CA, United States (October 2013)
The staff we encountered were very friendly and spoke English. The breakfast had more options than we expected. A simple breakfast but they had more than bread and coffee. Excellent location for us a young family with young kids ages 5 and 7.
Bruce - TX, United States (October 2013)
I really enjoyed Casa Carbulotto. Sisters are kind, welcoming and helpful. The covent is well situated, closed to the vaporetto and bus station. Dorsoduro, Cannaregio and San Polo are very closed walking. The fridge and the place for the meals are convenient if you do not want to go at restaurant. Bedroom is very clean. The garden is lovely. I recommend Casa Caburlotto.
Irene - , France (September 2013)
Beautiful place, location. Very helpful staff. Would recommend highly to anyone visiting Venice.
Roger - Edinburgh (City of), United Kingdom (September 2013)
This was a very friendly establishment with an excellent breakfast and lots of helpful advice. The location was outstanding. Within easy walking distance of the station, even allowing for suitcases and the inevitable bridges, it was quiet and yet within easy reach of all the major sights and some great places to eat.
Lynne - New South Wales, Australia (September 2013)
The sisters were lovely and Venice is beautiful but I would only stay here again in cooler months.
Michael - Queensland, Australia (June 2013)
I really appreciated the access to TWO fast computers in the guest area.
Nancy - NM, United States (May 2013)
Excellent quality/price, very good location and a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.
Ana - Barcelona, Spain (March 2013)
Our group had a wonderful time in Venice and a positive experience in staying at this guest house.
Jaime - CA, United States (November 2012)
Some form of breakfast would be appreciated. [Sept 2013: Now included]
Nan - NJ, United States (September 2012)
Simple pleasant sisters and staff, beautiful location, peaceful but near to central area. Great not to be in a commercial atmosphere. We would stay there again if ever visiting Venice.
Roisin - Renfrewshire, United Kingdom (September 2012)
This is the second time I've stayed, the first occasion being 2 years ago. I enjoy the location, the convenience to the bus station and railway station. The garden is delightful.
Annette - Australian Capital Territory, Australia (September 2012)
If you are flying out of Venice very early in the morning and need a place within walking distance to the Aerobus stop at Piazzale Roma, then this is a good choice. I had stayed in many convents and monasteries in Italy before. This one is not the best, but the location is ideal for people who need to get to the bus station at 5:30am. The single room is well equipped, clean, small, but sufficient for one person. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is nice and modern. The sisters and admin staff were kind and helpful. The walk to Piazzale Roma at 5:30am was safe and within 10 min with luggage (2 bridges to cross).
Olivia - CA, United States (September 2012)
I was happy there was a machine to buy coffee and that there was a refrigerator. This was a wonderful place and the sister in charge was very friendly, rooms very clean and location was perfect.
Mary - NY, United States (July 2012)
I love to stay at this guest house. :) Excellent!!
Huoy Y - Cardiff, United Kingdom (June 2012)
Lovely place to stay and very convenient.
Amy - MA, United States (May 2012)
Very warm hospitality. Good English speaking hostess.
Phillip - GA, United States (May 2012)
Staff was exceptionally helpful, answering the phone and directing our walking.
Karen - WA, United States (April 2012)
staff spoke perfect english and were extremely helpful. They just wanted us to enjoy Venice
geoffrey - Queensland, Australia (April 2012)
I was very unwell when I visited but I'll always have fond memories of Martina and Sister Leticia, very gentle people. The rose garden was a little piece of tranquility.
Bernadette - Queensland, Australia (April 2012)
Be prepared as no one speaks any English.
W - OH, United States (April 2012)
The one thing that would have made the trip even better would have been access to a microwave oven. My room was off/near the kitchen area and there were lots of dining tables, a coffee machine (with decent coffee). The nuns were very nice but do not speak any English, nor does the man who lets you in at night.
Pamela - NY, United States (March 2012)
The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Even those without English had a welcoming smile. We arrived past curfew (had notified them) and they were ready for us. We were very pleased with VEV101. The peacefulness of the garden was a great plus - a nice respite between sightseeing outings. All in all a serene place but close to the sights of Venice.
We would highly recommend it to friends who value pleasant atmosphere at a reasonable price over luxurious rooms.
Nelson - British Columbia, Canada (September 2011)
Only 5 bridges from the train station and only 3 bridges from the cruise terminal. Excellent location. Quiet for sleeping. Lovely sisters and staff.
Deborah - British Columbia, Canada (September 2011)
Enjoyed my stay.
Sally - New South Wales, Australia (July 2011)
Everybody was very friendly and helpful. An excellent place to stay. If one day I go back to Venice, I would try to go there again.
Anneke - , Netherlands (June 2011)
Perhaps a room on the second floor would have been better, but our room looked out on to a brick wall and a rather stagnant canal. At night, mosquitos would come in and bite us. Also, the beds were very, very hard.
Kimberly - TX, United States (May 2011)
The nuns and staff at the monastery were very very helpful and friendly. The monastery is at an excellent site in Venice, in walking distance to the station, vaporetto and many good restaurants and quiet at the same time.
Andrea - , Germany (April 2011)
Easy to access, quiet, close to cafes and restaurants and to railway station and boats. Sisters did not speak any English but this was not a real problem.
Janet - Auckland, New Zealand (September 2010)
It was close to the train station and areas that we wanted to see. It had the necesities such as bed and shower and the cost was good value. The curfew was 10:30pm. It would of been better if it was 11:00pm.
Carmela - Ontario, Canada (October 2009)
Situation. Clean Single beds, not a double. No breakfast provided. [Sept 2013: Now included]
Neil - Gloucestershire, United Kingdom (September 2009)
The curfew was the biggest problem. Other negatives include: no facility to pay by card, bathroom was below par, mosquitoes in the room, no fan in room. Friendly staff. The convent had character. Would recommend to my parents but not to friends.
Peter - New South Wales, Australia (September 2009)
The locations, prices, level of service, size of rooms and bathrooms.
Kyhl - TX, United States (June 2009)
Bathroom was modern and more spacious than other European accomm. Luggage storage after checkout for several hours and use of bathroom when we went to collect was greatly appreciated. Proximity to railway station, bus station, car rental and cruise ship harbour. The Sisters were welcoming and seemed genuinely pleased to greet us and have us stay. There was a common room with a coffee dispensing machine. Some travellers might appreciate the opportunity to attend Mass with the Sisters. Breakfast - one bread roll and cup of coffee - was minimalist!
Marian and Tony - SA, Australia (June 2009)
The Sisters, the breakfast, the accommodations were all very nice. It was difficult to find, but then again I found Venice to be a difficult city to navigate. Still, I would love to go back.
Beverly - , (October 2007)
The location, friendly nuns, cleanliness and cost. Comfortable, clean etc but very basic.
Ros - Victoria, Australia (October 2007)
The nuns were very friendly, the room was comfortable. It was in a good location near the arrival point in Venice.
