What better way to experience Siena than staying right on the door step of one of its main attractions, the San Francesco Basilica. Conveniently located in a quiet guest house amongst the Basilica's cloister, a peaceful base from which to explore Siena's medieval secrets.

Only a short walk away are some of Siena's most visited attractions like the Siena Duomo cathedral, a fabulous display of romanesque architecture in what was originally intended to be the largest cathedral in existence. The main city square in Siena, the Piazza del Campo, is another breathtaking sight worth seeing.

	It was a privilege to stay in this ancient monastery and to attend early morning Mass with the three Friars. The accommodation is simple but there is everything we needed as pilgrims on the Via Francigena. The three Friars are kind but do not speak English (and we do not speak Italian) so our welcome was courteous but limited.

	It was room and bathroom only and no meal options - which is exactly what I needed. It was relaxing, quiet, great location. Room very simple as expected but clean and bathroom clean and relatively new. I would stay here again. Not easy to locate anyone if you have any questions but you can phone them.

	For low-maintenance types, this monastery is ideal! If you need a lot of attention, then it will not be as pleasing, but for us, such a location inside the city walls of Siena, can't be beat!

	Great location and very quiet, lovely peaceful room with high window out onto cloister. Unfortunately no breakfast but cafes very close-by offering coffee and croissants at a good price meant this wasn't a problem.

	It was off-season; we were the only guests. Perhaps for that reason, finding a brother was sometimes not easy, though they were uniformly helpful when available. Little English is spoken. No breakfast is served, but inexpensive tea/coffee and pastries are available at several places within a short walk. The showers were the best we've ever had in Italy. I'd strongly recommend not trying to drive to the convent! Drop your rental car off and take a cab - they can legally go where you can't, and know how to do it. The streets of Siena within the walls were not designed for cars. The location is excellent - off the major streets, which are crowded and noisy, but within a short walk to the center.
