House of the Suore del Divin Salvatore
An elegant and sophisticated venue in a secluded clearing just outside one of Trentino Alto Adige's most gorgeous cities, Merano. With plenty of historic attractions to keep tourists interested, Merano is also close to some of the region's best skiing and hiking hot spots. Great location and top hospitality make for a wonderful stay at this grand facility.Merano has a rich history with heavy German and Austrian influences, which are reflected in the local cuisine. Visitors to the area can't go past a 'salumeria' and not try the wide range of salamis and cured meats typical of the area. The heart of Merano is known for its Tourism Museum and a lovely old castle, complete with a well kept and beautiful botanic garden. The town is located in a stunning valley near the Passer River and surrounded by large mountains ideal for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. Bolzano and various cities in southern Austria are easily accessible for day trips too.

Located just on the periphery of Merano's city center, but still within walking distance. City with easy access. Well located for walking to the Merano city center but otherwise best accessed with private transport.

Bus History
This lodging's construction dates back to the end of the 19th century and wasn't completed until 1906. It opened as a college for students and theologians in the same year. In 1912 it was handed on to the Salvatoriane Sisters and was a center for learning for young members of the order and a resting place for sick nuns.
