With such close proximity to Vicoforte's most sacred site, this venue is hard to miss in a beautiful part of Piemonte, especially for those travelers looking to escape the chaos of Italy's larger cities. A slice of traditional Italian architecture is on display at this venue, which also boasts beautifully luminous rooms and a stunning courtyard dating back to the 16th century.This venue lies behind the Vicoforte Sanctuary, commissioned in 1596 and a famous Catholic pilgrimage site ever since. The town of Mondovi is only a ten minute drive away and gives travelers the chance to visit the 17th century built Church of San Francesco Saverio, the ancient remains of the old city fortifications, Piazza Maggiore and the city towers.

The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Roberta recommended a local osteria for dinner and the food, wine and value were amazing. The quality of the pastry shop across the street was also remarkable. The church has one of the largest oval Coppola’s in the world and the Art is beautiful. The area is beautiful. We found it easy to travel to nearby cities with our rent car. |
