Sandi - ON, Canada (May 2022)
Beautiful guesthouse with a view of the St. Peter's dome. The sisters and staff are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful big chapel, and gardens outside as well. Rooms are simple, but have all the essentials and are cleaned daily.
Thomas - OR, United States (February 2022)
Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay! Check in was so welcoming and helpful and the sisters in the morning were so lovely.
Jono - , United Kingdom (July 2021)
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. The sisters and the front desk staff went out of their way to help me find my way around, and also had laundry/ironing facilities. Their gardens are so very lovely. They treated me like a member of the family. It is a 10-15 minute walk to the Vatican. This is simply the BEST place to stay if you want to see Vatican City!
Margaret - NC, United States (July 2021)
Excellent Location, rooms newly renovated, very helpful staff. Curfew is extended until midnight in summer.
Christine - , Germany (February 2020)
The staff was wonderful in every way and made us feel welcome. Simon and Nunzia were so helpful and friendly that we would recommend Casa Tabor to our friends and family as the perfect place to stay. The casa is located in a quiet, peaceful area and offers majestic views of St. Peters Basilica.
John - OH, United States (February 2020)
The nuns were friendly. It was a peaceful atmosphere.
Susan - CA, United States (December 2019)
I visited Rome on a pilgrimage as a single traveller, and I planned on spending half of my time in Vatican City. This location is great for that. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating, and breakfast was great. Thanks to Rome's great bus system, I was able to easily get all over the city from this location. Great views and updated amenities. Will stay again when I'm next in Rome!
Audrey - OK, United States (November 2019)
The Casa Tabor was a comfortable, clean, friendly place to stay with beautiful gardens and outdoor benches. The rooms are simple but when touring Rome, who wants to spend time in their room? I look forward to returning to the casa and recommending it to my friends.
Susan - NY, United States (August 2019)
Rooms were lovely and fantastic shower. We would have liked to have tea & coffee making facilities in our room or available outside of breakfast at least. A kettle would have been great but we had an amazing stay thank you. Good location for the Vatican.
Angie - Worcestershire, United Kingdom (October 2018)
A very peaceful place in the midst of the chaos of Rome.
Harvey - IL, United States (August 2018)

Raegina - WI, United States (May 2018)

Ann - Birmingham, United Kingdom (May 2016)
Very welcoming and helful when asked. You do need to ask. Lovely grounds and atmosphere in the convent. A very calm place to stay, lovely gardens and chapel.
David - North Yorkshire, United Kingdom (May 2016)
We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Casa di Accoglienza Tabor. The booking system was so simple. We could see the Vatican from our bedroom window - it was awe-inspiring. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was just what we needed to set us up for a day exploring Rome. Everyone was so kind and helpful. My friend attended Mass in the church which she tells me was a lovely experience. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Rome
Anne - Merseyside, United Kingdom (April 2016)
Casa Tabor is located a few minutes walk outside the Vatican Walls. There is public bus transportation that stops right outside the Casa that will bring you around the Vatican as well as central Rome and the train station. The Casa was very clean and modern. The Sisters there were all very nice and helpful in showing us the bus schedules. The breakfast was also very good. The only negative is there is only one trattoria within walking distance from the Casa. So it would be good to eat before you turn in for the night. Everything else was great!
David - MS, United States (April 2016)
Wonderful place. Very quiet. Sisters were most helpful. We'd definitely stay there again should we return to Rome.
John - NY, United States (October 2015)
We felt very welcome - the nuns were lovely to our three children. Brekky was good too - enough options to keep everyone happy. The grounds are gorgeous and it was great to come back to Casa Tabor after a long hot day of seeing sights.
Nicola - Victoria, Australia (June 2015)
The sisters are very welcoming, hospitable, and helpful. The monastery is walking distance to restaurants and stores, and there is a bus stop one block away which was convenient to tourist locations. The grounds are beautiful and were a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of Rome.
Elizabeth A - TX, United States (June 2015)
Sweet, lovely, considerate staff. Everyone was more than willing to meet our requirements and offer us help finding our way around.
PJ - TX, United States (April 2015)
Beautifully simple and serene! Thank you Sisters Rita, Stephania and Julia!
LuAnn - IL, United States (June 2014)
Casa di Accoglienza Tabor was located conveniently near Vatican City. Sr. Stefania was very helpful with every request. The gardens were beautiful. There was easy access to the bus stop which we used to get around Rome.
Nancy - CA, United States (June 2014)
It was a lovely location and fulfilled all I wished for personally. Sunday Mass would have been a bonus but perhaps filling their large beautiful Chapel with other worshippers on the Sabbath is better value all round for them.
Barbara - Essex, United Kingdom (May 2014)
Wonderful, excellent, the best.
Earl - CA, United States (October 2013)
We absolutely loved staying here. The sisters were very kind and helpful. The environment is an haven and energetically very clean. It was a superb visit.

I had a wonderful stay at Casa Tabor and the nuns were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Altogether a fantastic experience.
Maggie - North Yorkshire, United Kingdom (April 2013)
We stayed at 3 places booked through monasterystays - this was the best. The sisters and staff were very friendly and helpful with travel info - their English was a bit of a challenge but we always ended up communicating. Rooms were clean and they had an excellent European breakfast, to include ham and cheese. Daily mass is available. The behind the Vatican location is quiet and the view of St. Peter's dome was great.
Lawrence - NH, United States (April 2013)
Staff very friendly and extremely helpful.
Robert T - Essex, United Kingdom (April 2013)
Casa Di Accoglienza Tabor was simple and charming. The sisters were very helpful and booked me a cab for my departure.
Amy - MD, United States (February 2013)
Staff is very nice, makes you feel at home. Location is very convenient to the Vatican.
Robyn - GA, United States (August 2012)
The Sisters are very welcoming and are multiple-lingual. The guest house is well situated to Central Rome if you don't mind using public transport. There is a restaurant close by for dinner. Breakfast is basic but efficient and fresh. This is a safe and quiet location. Well worth it.
Margaret - Northern Territory, Australia (July 2012)
Excellent, tranquil and yet close to sites and transport links. If you are arriving via Termini station and have luggage, it is worth the taxi fare.
Maggy - Lancashire, United Kingdom (July 2012)
Pretty small single beds. Unsatisfactory room ilumination for reading.
Carlos - DC, Colombia (May 2012)
The nuns were lovely, welcoming & friendly.
Angie - North Yorkshire, United Kingdom (May 2011)
It was absolutely wonderful. The Sisters were gracious and accomodating. The room was very nicely appointed, very clean, and had everything we needed. A perfect stay.
Roanoke - VA, United States (May 2011)
A wonderful spiritual experience.
THOMAS - LANCASHIRE, United Kingdom (April 2011)
Very pleasant; light, bright and clean. The religious at the desk were especially helpful. I had no negative comments.
Marilyn - IA, United States (June 2010)
The room was good, the welcome exceptional, the grounds fantastic. The atmosphere, food, gardens, staff and the price in comparison with hotels. The beds were small and stiff.
William - Alberta, Canada (May 2009)
It was a truly wonderful experience staying with the sisters. The convent is beautiful. The grounds and chapel are lovely. The sisters are very friendly.
Everything was wonderful. We plan on staying there again on our next trip to Rome.
Deborah - TX, United States (December 2008)
I wasn't sure what I would get for the price. It was very reasonable but the place was immaculate! Good water pressure, very clean, the sisters were friendly and helpful. Some spoke English and/or German (all spoke italian). Only an hour window for breakfast. If I go back to Rome, I will almost certainly stay here.
Steven - IL, United States (May 2008)
Peaceful, safe, attending mass each morning, listening to the nuns sing, helping us with directions and taxis, beautiful grounds, rooms were kept up and clean, beautiful view.
