This convent is operated by the Istituto Madri Pie.

Beautiful gardens with tables, chairs and umbrellas scattered provide a peaceful retreat and a place to sit and soak up the warm sun.

For groups using the conference rooms, equipment can be hired from the venue at an additional cost. For Group Bookings, the guest house offers a transfer service and tours available. Contact us for more information.

Breakfast is included in the price. A bar is open daily at the guest house until 11.00pm.

Features

The beautiful entrance greets you as you walk through the arch and into the foyer. The rest of the guest house continues the theme offering a good mix of traditional and modern design.

History

The Order began in the middle of the 18th century with the aim of educating and caring for the youth of Italy. Since then their focus has expanded to many different countries around the world.

	The desk staff were most helpful, there was a great selection for breakfast, and generally our group were very happy with the location, cleanliness, the spiritual atmosphere - holy images etc on the wall. Was lovely to be able to pray in the Chapel and we were allowed to celebrate a Mass with our Priest. A great place to stay if you want to be close to St Peters and the Vatican.

The location is exceptional if you plan to spend time at St Peter's or the Vatican Museum. If you plan to spend more time exploring the Forum or Coliseum it will necessitate a taxi ride or long walk. We had a great time and can't say enough about everyone at the Residence.

	I would rate this accomodation 10out of 10. I wanted to be close to the Vatican & it was perfect for me. I walked everywhere & also used Metro & Bus to reach other tourist sites. The gentleman on the desk were courteous & very helpful, even to the extent of finding another guest to share a cab to the airport on my final day. I stayed 6 nights & couldn't have been happier with my accommodation. Well done to all concerned.

	This is the second time we have used Monastery Stays. We enjoyed our first time with them so decided to do it again. This time we choose a larger place and stayed 2 nights. It was very nice! 	We were very satisfied with the location! The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was of generally good quality, though again, some guests felt that real ham could have been provided and perhaps some wholegrain breads. The outstanding feature of this hotel was the staff at reception. We experienced a few problems during our stay and they were extremely helpful and courteous, helping us to sort things out! 	Residenza Madri Pie Roma was an outstanding place to spend our 5 nights in Rome. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. It was a wonderful place to rest. The Residenza is located steps from St. Peter's Square and convenient to all transportation around Rome's attractions. We walked nearly everywhere in ancient area as well as the other "tourist" locations in central Rome from this location without any problem. The breakfast was very generous, the staff very helpful and it was a terrific place to stay.

	This is a great place to stay for a visit to Rome. It is conveniently near the Vatican, but also near the bridge across the river for an easy walk to Piazza Navona, Pantheon and the other neighborhoods of the old city. The front desk staff were most helpful. The room itself was meticulously clean and I had a nice view out to the street - classic Roman street scene. The breakfast was very good, especially the fresh croissant and the abundant coffee. The neighborhood trattoria, La Vittoria, offers a pleasant, traditionaal meal with outdoor seating and great people watching. I will stay here again if I come to Rome.

	Had a wonderful stay at this monastery. As we were checking in we heard the Pope speaking from Vatican Square. We dropped our bags and walked 2 blocks and walked right into the square where the Pope was speaking! Wonderful welcome to Rome. All of the desk clerks were so helpful. One of them arranged an early morning breakfast for us because we had an early bus tour scheduled. Fabrizio, especially, was so helpful. Always had good information to help us and in our last day he arranged taxi pickup for the next morning, scheduled our train tickets and printed them for us and told us exactly what we needed to do to get to our next location. He also confirmed that next location for us. (Which was also a wonderful Monastery Stay in Assisi.). We felt like we had a friend in Fabrizio. Wonderful experience! Thank you!

	This property is a GEM in Rome. Our party consisted of 6 people from the US and Poland. We stayed 5 nights. The front desk service was remarkably courteous, friendly, and responsive. Rooms were simple, no bells and whistles, but exactly what we needed for our stay. Air conditioning in the rooms helped mucho. No street noise during the night. No curfew. Very close to St Peters...an easy 3 minute walk. A variety of restaurants and small markets close by. The breakfast at Madri Pie was great. Fresh breads, sliced meats, cheeses, coffee, tea, juice, cereals, and the sisters were fabulous. We absolutely loved it. Perfect location. Prices best in Rome. No complaints whatsoever. As a person who travels a lot for business all over the world, I would recommend this property to everyone.

	Lorenzo and Fabrizio (Front Desk) were excellent when we arrived at 7:00pm on our first day. They made us feel really welcomed and ensured everything was sorted for us. Loved our stay.
