The historic center of Rome. City with easy access. Public transport to central and surrounding locations is nearby.
The Order began in the middle of the 18th century with the aim of educating and caring for the youth of Italy. Since then their focus has expanded to many different countries around the world.
The Residenza Madri Pie Roma-exceeded my expectations-friendly-clean-simple but comfortable accomodations which was exactly what I needed for my trip to Rome. God Bless!

Positively the BEST place to stay in Rome!
Helene - PA, United States (January 2017)
We were very satisfied with the location! The rooms were simple, clean and comfortable.
The breakfast was of generally good quality, though again, some guests felt that real ham could have been provided and perhaps some wholegrain breads.
The outstanding feature of this hotel was the staff at reception. We experienced a few problems during our stay and they were extremely helpful and courteous, helping us to sort things out! Thanks for that!

Will stay again.

Residenza Madri Pie Roma was an outstanding place to spend our 5 nights in Rome. The room was clean, quiet and spacious. It was a wonderful place to rest. The Residenza is located steps from St. Peter's Square and convenient to all transportation around Rome's attractions. We walked nearly everywhere in ancient area as well as the other "tourist" locations in central Rome from this location without any problem. The breakfast was very generous, the staff very helpful and it was a terrific place to stay.

The entire staff was very polite and helpful. Lorenzo, Fabrizio, Christian were very courteous and professional. Sister Anna Marie always had a smile on her face. The pictures don't do this place justice; the property is very beautiful and clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Ahmad - CA, USA (August 2016)
Everyone was extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. Very close to the Vatican.

Fantastic location and very good service. The porters at the monastery are very welcoming and helpful. The continental breakfast is very good and the rooms very clean and quiet. The Vatican with its amazing museums is only 5 minutes walk to Saint Peter Square, 5 minutes walk to Saint Peter train station, and 10 minutes walk to the Metro station. I unreservedly recommend this welcoming, friendly and great place!

AStaff were incredible. Very accomidating, friendly and helpful. We truly enjoyed our visit (to include watching Italy play Belgium in Eurocup 2016 with the Sisters). Thank you!

This is a great place to stay for a visit to Rome. It is conveniently near the Vatican, but also near the bridge across the river for an easy walk to Piazza Navona, Pantheon and the other neighborhoods of the old city. The front desk staff were most helpful. The room itself was meticulously clean and I had a nice view out to the street - classic Roman street scene. The breakfast was very good, especially the fresh croissant and the abundant coffee. The neighborhood trattoria, La Vittoria, offers a pleasant, traditionaal meal with outdoor seating and great people watching. I will stay here again if I come to Rome.

We had a wonderful stay, staff were very helpful and friendly. Monastery Stays.com is a site I have recommended to friends.
Had a wonderful stay at this monastery. As we were checking in we heard the Pope speaking from Vatican Square. We dropped our bags and walked 2 blocks and walked right into the square where the Pope was speaking! Wonderful welcome to Rome. All of the desk clerks were so helpful. One of them arranged an early morning breakfast for us because we had an early bus tour scheduled.
Fabrizio, especially, was so helpful. Always had good information to help us and in our last day he arranged taxi pickup for the next morning, scheduled our train tickets and printed them for us and told us exactly what we needed to do to get to our next location. He also confirmed that next location for us. (Which was also a wonderful Monastery Stay in Assisi.). We felt like we had a friend in Fabrizio.
Wonderful experience! Thank you!

Location, location, location! Best deal in the Vatican area. Clean, safe, excellent service, nuns everywhere-I could not ask for more in this price range. I look forward to staying here again.

Cecilia - CA, United States (April 2016)
Our stay was lovely. The employees were very accommodating. The residence was close to the vatican and that was important to us. Breakfasts were great. We were very pleased.
Cecelia - Ontario, Canada (April 2016)
The staff was excellent. They were very accommodating when we asked for breakfast earlier than the published hours. There was nothing we asked for that hey did not assist us with. The location is excellent. Everything we wanted was in walking distance from the residence.

A simple and sufficiently comfortable stay.
The monastery was a quiet and prayerful oasis for us on holiday. I appreciate the spirituality that staying there brought to our holiday attitude. It was interesting that our dream life was strong there, an indication of the prayerful soul life there. Thank you.

This property is a GEM in Rome. Our party consisted of 6 people from the US and Poland. We stayed 5 nights. The front desk service was remarkably courteous, friendly, and responsive. Rooms were simple, no bells and whistles, but exactly what we needed for our stay. Air conditioning in the rooms helped mucho. No street noise during the night. No curfew. Very close to St Peters...an easy 3 minute walk. A variety of restaurants and small markets close by. The breakfast at Madri Pie was great. Fresh breads, sliced meats, cheeses, coffee, tea, juice, cereals, and the sisters were fabulous. We absolutely loved it. Perfect location. Prices best in Rome. No complaints whatsoever. As a person who travels a lot for business all over the world, I would recommend this property to everyone.
Paul - IL, United States (June 2015)
Lorenzo and Fabrizio (Front Desk) were excellent when we arrived at 7:00pm on our first day. They made us feel really welcomed and ensured everything was sorted for us. Loved our stay. Breakfast was great! The sisters were wonderful. It was such a lovely, relaxing atmosphere. And being so close to the Vatican made it all the more worthwhile. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants to visit.
Christina - Kent, United Kingdom (June 2015)

Laurie - CO, United States (May 2015)
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, very close to the Vatican and other iconic sites. There were some lovely restaurants very close by and a taxi rank right out the front. The staff were extremely helpful and I would be happy to stay here again

The location was absolutely perfect for our visit to Vatican City for Holy Week.
Allison - WV, United States (April 2015)
Tea/coffee facilities would have been nice in rooms, otherwise the stay was wonderful, very clean, service daily, very friendly helpful staff, breakfast was excellent.

Superb location, very helpful staff, wonderful breakfast.
Theresa - ON, Canada (September 2013)
We enjoyed Residenza Madri Pie Roma, great location to the Vatican and buses to go elsewhere in the city a block away. The staff at the front desk were very helpful with the questions we had. Room and en-suite was huge compared to other places we had stayed in Italy. A great stay, would consider going back if our travels take us to Rome.
Norman - CA, United States (June 2013)
We enjoyed the stay. It was very quiet, well located to sites of interest and public transportation.
