General Transport History
The monastery was founded in 1585 by Giovanni d' Avalos, son of Alfonso of Aragon, Marquis of the Immense One. After the Napoleonic abolition of monasteries and those of the Italian government, it was reopened in 1885. For 400 years it was a Camaldolese monastery founded by San Romualdo.Customer Reviews

The monastery was beautiful and the nuns were very warm and hospitable. It was in a beautiful location and was completely self contained. There were security gates for our protection and safety. Meals were provided at an additional cost. It was at the highest point in Naples which afforded a gorgeous view, but it was quite far away from everything. We needed to hire a taxi when we wanted to go on a day excursion. |
