This monastery is operated by the Conferenza dei Ministri Provinciali de Frati Minor D'Italia.

Other facilities include an well maintained park surrounding the buildings. There are also modern conference/meeting facilities that can cater for up to 300 people. A majority of the rooms provide views over Santa Maria degli Angeli and Assisi.

The monastery allows small pets inside the rooms. There is also a taxi booking service located at the reception.

The restaurant on site is able to prepare typical regional dishes as well as international dishes. The combined dining areas can cater for up to 600 people. The restaurant is also able to provide personalised menus.

Features

The rooms are furnished according to the Franciscan model, simple but comfortable. The chapel was designed by the architect Poesella and houses works of art by the sculptor Ferretti Ubaldo and painter Zangrandi.

Getting Around

Located on the road between Santa Maria degli Angeli and Assisi, this monastery is close to the train station in Santa Maria degli Angeli and can be accessed easily. The monastery is nestled on the hill about halfway up to Assisi. The views are simply breathtaking. The monastery is well connected by public transport to both Santa Maria degli Angeli and Assisi.  

History

This monastery has recently undergone renovations so it has a modern look and feel. The complex is laid out in a typical monastic style with the buildings creating a square and a courtyard in the middle.
