This monastery is operated by the Federazione Italiana Esercizi Spirituali.

A stunning period-style exterior greets guests upon arrival at this medieval type venue. Large spacious gardens surround the area around the building and provide guests with a great spot to enjoy the beautiful views of Assisi they provide.

No Mass is held. Guests can access chapel at all times for private prayer. Conference rooms are also available.

Breakfast is included in the price. Other meals are available (additional) and bookings can be arranged with reception. Drinks are available from the bar.

Features

This guest house has undergone several transformations and provides modern day comforts while still maintaining original features like its arc windows. A modern, classically styled interior is warm and inviting especially with its luminous feel and natural light.

Getting Around

Located just outside central Assisi and its old city walls. Just outside the city, located on the edge of a hill. Well located for walking to central Assisi attractions. Public transport to central and surrounding locations is also nearby.  

History

This building was transformed into a guest house in 1933 by Father Agostino Gemelli and Armida Barelli, founders of the Universitá Cattolica.

	No cerfew and free access to the guest computer is what makes Oasi Sacro Coure to a top pick. Otherwise it is clean and nice, the staff are helpful but discrete. The location is OK, a few steps outside the town center.

	Great location. A 5 minute walk to Basilica of St Clare and another 5 minutes to Basilica of St Francis. Service was great although the included breakfast was basic. Reception were very helpful and it is easily reached by bus from the train station.

	Our group also arrived via chartered bus which deposited us in the parking lot right across the road and we walked in. This is our second stay at OSC and it was excellent. The staff there was friendly and helpful; we had a group dinner the first night which was delicious and expertly prepared; the appearance of the place is charming and everything is very clean. I worked with Luca on the last-minute room changes and he was very good to work with and we met everyone's satisfaction. I think overall everyone in my group enjoyed their two-night stay at OSC and the bar was in a good location and used! the dinner was delicious and the linens and rooms were very clean. The hospitality offered by Mrs. Clara, Lucia and Luca was also very high and noticed by my members. I would highly recommend this location to others in the future and I hope to bring more groups there in the future. I would also bring future groups back to Hotel Alma Domus in Siena if the two or three things I noted (hair dryers, sound-proofing, friendly attitudes) are improved upon.

	Very welcoming and friendly. We were provided with a room with disabled facilities. I had only asked for a room with disabled access, so this was a pleasant bonus, much to the delight of my companion. Everything was clean and ready for us. We were offered an excellent evening meal (4 courses, 15 euro!)from local produce. An excellent environment with grounds to walk in. A retreat of about 50 older Italians were studying for the week we were there. They were very hospitable and added to the whole experience. We were visiting Assisi for the frescoes. We had a car, and the parking at the venue was essential. In all an excellent experience, with just the right atmosphere for Assisi. Little. If picky, no air conditioning in room, but the building construction kept us cool. Having windows open allowed us to hear the birds. Ideal for visiting Assisi by car, particularly if you want to be outside parking problems of the busy centre. A short walk into the city. Accommodation fairly simple, but comfortable beds, etc. Food excellent.

	The location. Is was as close to the road to San Damiano as I could get. I was there on pilgramage. Bus was right accross the street which took me to the train station when it was time to leave.
