A great spot for a spiritual retreat, well away from the hustle and bustle of Italy's larger cities. Nature walks and sports activities are easily accessible but so are some of Italy's most visited cities like Turin. A traditional alpine guest house awaits you with beautiful facilities and the peace and quiet only possible in Italy's northern mountain ranges.

This venue has five chapels within the same complex and an interesting grotto open to guests daily. It is based on the famous Grotto of Massabielle in Lourdes, France. Coazze is only minutes away and is a beautiful alpine town with a host of natural attractions like the nearby Orsiera-RocciavrÃ© park where visitors can explore the natural flora and fauna of the area. Giaveno is also nearby and with a history dating back to 1001AD, it is definitely worth a look. The town's main cathedral, the Church of Batu, is a wonderful 16th century structure that is breathtaking both inside and out. For those staying a few days, a day trip to Turin is easy and only takes an hour by car.

Located in a stunning rural part of Piemonte, about 6km from the nearest town of Coazze. Outside the city, among the many large pines of the surrounding forest. Best accessed with private transport.

History

The serene grotto at this venue was inaugurated by Cardinal Fossati in 1961, while the guesthouse was opened to travelers in 1979.
