Central area of Milan. City with easy access. Access to the Milan Metro via two stations within walking distance of the guest house for travel to central Milan and the train station as well as several bus lines  

History

A contemporary building, established in the 60's as a guest house of the Franciscans and the Parrocchia Santi Patroni D'Italia. Simply furnished, clean and basic guest rooms provide a simple base from which to explore Milan.

	This is a very friendly place and I felt completely secure. The only thing I might criticise is the breakfast, which was rather sparse, though the coffee was excellent.

	The Oasi San Francesco offers very good value: clean private rooms with ensuite shower and toilet room, at affordable rates. The only problem with Oasi San Francesco is the curfew, normally at 11 pm. In my view this is a major drawback on an otherwise excellent establishment.

	Monastery is located in a quiet residential area with a 15 minute walk from the Metro. There are very few places to dine near the Monastery. Our 5 night stay was comfortable, the rooms were large and clean. The staff was very helpful and the service was excellent.

	I would say first of all that people were courteous and warm to somebody with two words exactly of Italian. You can have an excellent meal in the evening with fruit and salad as well. My room was spotless but there are shutters over the window so you can't see out. It is a basic room in a corridor of similar rooms but perfectly adequate. It is a religious house and their chapel which I briefly glimpsed is a real house of prayer.

	The room was clean and quiet, very simple. One great inconvenience was that there was no wi-fi. However, it was easy to find and 5 minutes away from the Metro statin, with a Carefour store conveniently close. I would recommend it to someone that doesn't have too many expectations and is ok with basic accomodations. The curfew is another important thing to consider if you plan to partying or like to go out at night.
