General Transport History
This venue was built in the 14th century after a shepherd was led to the site by an appearance of the Virgin Mary. Before its construction, the hill on which this venue lies was notorious as a hideout for criminals and so gained the nickname, "Mountain of the Devil". Today, this is one of the most famous areas of Livorno and visited by tourists and locals alike.Customer Reviews

Beautiful location in the mountains with views of Livorno and the Mediterranean. Easily accessible by public transport. Warm welcome. Comfortable single bed in large room with private shower room. Towels and bedding provided, with fridge in corridor. During my stay it was clear that a pilgrims' restaurant was under construction - hopefully open next time. |
