Group Tour Organisers for Monastery Stays
The following policy is the Group Terms and Conditions of booking, that must be read in conjunction with Customer Terms & Conditions that are accepted for all bookings submitted to Monastery Stays
As we are dealing with a different market sector, which doesn't pay agency commissions, discount or understand wholesale pricing etc we have an alternative charging mechanism.
Group Reservations/Bookings - a very easy to use and effective system
- Do we organise group accommodation/lodgings? Yes we do.
- What is a group? Accommodation/Lodging for 10 or more persons staying together in a Monastery or Convent Guest House, when they book and pay as one reservation/booking using the website in the normal manner.
- Is any commission or rebate available? Yes a 10% commission or rebate is available on the reservation/booking.
- How is the 10% calculated? The commission or rebate is calculated on the total gross value of the reservation made (Total Cost for the booked venue as shown on the Travel Plan screen) – not on the amount paid at the time of making the reservation.
- Who is entitled to a 10% Commission or Rebate? Independent group reservation/bookings arranged through www.monasterystays.com online reservation/booking service. Separate commercial arrangements exist for Travel Agents registered with Monastery Stays and are not able to be combined with this offer to independent groups. Travel Agents registered with Monastery Stays who are organising groups should Contact Us to discuss their requirements further.
- How does it work? You need to make the reservation in the normal way using the website – we only deal via the website.
- Payment of Group Rebate – how does it occur? Once the booking is completed with deposit and booking fee paid using the website in the normal manner - you immediately email or fax us an invoice for your 10% rebate/commission.
- How is the payment made? The amount is sent to you using PayPal as a secure system.
- Will the terms and conditions be the same for groups as they are for individual booking? Yes – with the possibility that due to the number of people the monastery or convent guest house asks for additional deposits and progress payments. You should read the Customer Terms & Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions as they pertain to booking.
- Is the coach captain, tour leader, bursar, or courier provided with free accommodation? Generally not unless the group exceeds 20 persons, when sometimes one place is provided free, but even that cannot be guaranteed. Don’t use this in your calculations but accept it as a bonus if we can organise it for you.
- Are evening meals available? No not all monasteries and convent guest houses provide evening or lunch. If you wish to receive this service please mention it when making your reservation – this will be quoted separately and paid for by you directly to the monastery in due course.
- Is breakfast included in the tariff? Breakfast inclusions are noted on the website for each monastery within the 'green' box stating the Room Rate.
