The nuns were so sweet and accommodating, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Will stay there again, without a doubt.
Rosanna - FL, United States (June 2015)
It was lovely waking up by the sound of the birds and the view from the window made it perfect. I never saw such a beautiful hotel garden in a city centre. I loved the sisters, very helpful and attentive. I will certainly come back at and tell it to all my friends.
Marianne - , Netherlands (June 2015)
Fabulous location. Extremely clean. Very pleasant staff.
Jacqueline - Ontario, Canada (May 2015)
It was a peaceful haven away from the bustle of Rome and a short walk to Vatican City. Fantastic view of St Peters from my bed.
Alyson - New South Wales, Australia (April 2015)
When we walked up to the monastery for the first time we could not believe how absolutely beautiful the grounds were. Then we looked out and the view was superb with the Vatican and Saint Peter's right there, and also right outside our room window. It was unbelievable. The rooms were first class and the common room and breakfast were great. We met several other guests at this monastery due to the way the grounds and common breakfast hall were designed.
Steven - AK, United States (October 2014)
Our room stepped out to the roof. We overlooked the Vatican and saw St. Peter's dome every night. Very close to the Vatican. You could walk there. The staff and the nuns were very nice and helpful. Cleaner than most hotel rooms. You could eat off of the floor!

An oasis of calm and rest after a busy day in Rome. Arrangement with Bonus Pastor for evening meals worked very well.
Gordon - Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom (September 2014)
The Sisters were very helpful and even called us a cab to the airport. The view of St. Peter's is impressive and the rose garden very lovely. We were disappointed in the meager breakfast however.
Cynthia - PA, United States (July 2014)
Excellent! Would definitely stay again. Thanks!
John - MA, United States (June 2014)

They could improve their breakfast.
Oyvind - , Norway (April 2014)
A beautiful peaceful place to escape the noise of the city. I have stayed at several monasteries in Italy and this is the best.
Beautiful views and kind people.
Robin - WA, United States (March 2014)
Highly recommended. The sisters are so kind and helpful.
Paul - Hertfordshire, United Kingdom (February 2014)
Absolutely perfect stay! As a single traveller I felt welcomed and safe in this home with peaceful gardens & the most amazing view of the Vatican. Would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to anyone!
Colleen - NY, United States (September 2013)
If you're looking for a nice quiet place to stay in the middle of Rome, this is your place. Casa per Ferie is truly an oasis in the middle of a turbulent sea. The location is safe and well protected. Several staff members speak English. We started our day with an ample continental breakfast listening to the music from the daily mass. The rooms are simple but large and quite adequate and the beds are good. The view from our window overlooked St. Peters Basilica. There was a nice little garden in front, also overlooking the Vatican, with umbrellas, chairs and tables where we could relax on a warm evening after a long day of visiting the Eternal City. We truly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it to anyone who is travelling to Rome.
Ragnar - MA, United States (June 2013)
Beautiful location overlooking The Vatican and St. Peter's Basilica. Rooms were clean and staff were very willing to assist in booking Taxi services for us and directing us on walking routes to Vatican.
Donald - Ontario, Canada (June 2013)
Great welcome and hospitality from the sisters.
Maureen - Western Australia, Australia (June 2013)
Its location, its gardens and pleasant, peaceful atmosphere are wonderful to rest. It's a very clean and safe facility, an oasis in the heart of Rome. The rooms are spacious, luminous, with hugely high ceilings and have air conditioning and private bathrooms. The front rooms have an outstanding view of the Vatican. The mattresses are a bit harder than usual but we didn't have a problem sleeping.
Maria - MD, United States (May 2013)
This was my favorite of the 4 accommodations we had while in Italy. The room was more spacious. The nuns were so thoughtful and kind. And the view!
Rosemary - VA, United States (May 2013)
Beautiful setting and grounds. Quiet and peaceful in contrast to the city. Helpful, caring staff. Simple but fully adequate facilities.
Julia - South Yorkshire, United Kingdom (April 2013)
Enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The location and gardens were lovely. The bedrooms were very comfortable and well appointed but they could have done with some pictures on the walls which were almost bare.
Alistair - Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom (September 2012)
A wonderful place to stay, especially if you plan on visiting the Vatican. Not a lot of restaurants in the area. It is a very quiet, peaceful location with a wonderful view of the city and the St. Peter's Dome.
Michael - TX, United States (September 2012)
I recommend anyone to stay at Casa per Ferie, this place was so very quiet and piece full.
Juan, - CA, United States (September 2012)
The sisters are friendly and courteous. They ensured are stay was comfortable. The place isn't far from vatican and buses are available to termini and vatican early in the day and late in the night.
Charles - , United Arab Emirates (March 2011)
An excellent location; easy walking distance to much of the heart of Rome. Security is excellent; service is very good. The rooms are clean and comfortable.
Michael - NE, United States (December 2010)
The monastery that we stayed in Rome was lovely, clean. We were treated well, given good advice. As much as we tried to learn the language it was hard to understand and there were people there who could speak English and were very helpful. Breakfast was the typical European breakfast. Good service. We loved the whole experience. I would recommend it and would love the opportunity to go back.
Robin - WA, United States (October 2010)
Quiet and peaceful location, very pretty garden, nice view The breakfast was ordinary. We did not expect much as we know the Italians don't do breakfast much, but it was still a little disappointing. The beds were firm.
Denise - New South Wales, Australia (September 2010)
We expected good and received excellent rooms. The grounds are lovely which conveys a very peaceful feeling.
Michael - TX, United States (September 2010)
It personally did not bother me though others may disagree, there is a railway station located down the hill from the monastery, so every 15 minutes or so you would hear the train coming by.
Mary Ann - CA, United States (May 2010)
The Monastery was very comfortable and safe. The Sisters treated us very well. They needed to be paid in cash. It would have been much more convenient if they would have taken a credit card. I would also use the monastery again if I were fortunate enough to return to Rome.
Ann - AR, United States (October 2009)
The room was spacious and the monastery was well secured. There was a curfew at 11 pm. That can be difficult when you are wanting to explore the city at night. It is important for the traveller to speak Italian. It was very difficult to communicate in English.
Bryan - WA, United States (June 2009)
The people were friendly and extremely helpful. Everything was wonderful. The location was perfect; the room was excellent - couldn't have asked for more. Definitely! Will go this way again when traveling to Italy.
Ann M - CA, United States (May 2009)
Everything was very good.
Stanislav - CA, United States (May 2009)
Fabulous view! Comfartable, but simple room. Spacious bathroom. Train noise nearby, but many other good things made up for that inconvenience. Fabulous view of some suites and from the garden.
-Spacious green location
-adequate breakfast on-site
Marjorie - Ontario, Canada (May 2009)
It was wonderful! The beauty, location near the Vatican, the caring & knowledgeable Sisters, the cleanliness, great rooms, breakfast, chapel, comfort and welcome, etc.
Elisabeth - CT, United States (April 2009)
It was clean, the people were nice, the view was beautiful and it was reasonably priced. We had to go out for food. The sister's directed us to a nearby guest house which was wonderful.
Claire - NY, United States (March 2009)
Very comfortable room, good bathroom (better than some hotels we stayed at) and great view communication a little difficult, but we got by.
ANN - Queensland, Australia (December 2008)
Very clean, quiet, safe! Wonderful people! Good food! Also, they had bus maps and bus passes for sale.
Connie - CO, United States (October 2008)
Reasonable value. Breakfast was rather limited. Room was on the small side.
Glenn - CA, United States (September 2008)
It was very clean. The breakfast was surprisingly bad- dreadful coffee, stale rolls, no fruit. We did not expect a large meal but decent coffee, fresh bread and one or more additional options certainly are a reasonable expectation.
Jane - PA, United States (June 2008)
Staff friendliness and helpfulness. They accommodated an early morning departure for us during our stay with an early breakfast. The sisters were very cheerful. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat! They also cheerfully accommodated our late arrival on the night of our check-in. Everything was good. I cannot think of a deficiency.
Michael - NE, United States (June 2008)
The room was spacious and we had our own bathroom. It was clean and safe as I hoped. Also the nuns we spoke with were so kind and really cared for our safety since it was our first visit to Rome.
Janna - OH, United States (May 2008)
I didn't expect a big room for that price. It was clean. The rooms were great size for the money. It was nicely run by the nuns. The nuns were friendly.
Christina - , Indonesia (April 2008)
Sr. Cora and the other sisters could not have been more helpful and kind. I was traveling alone and felt very comfortable and safe. Everything was excellent. Recommend without hesitation!
angela - CA, United States (February 2008)
Very peaceful and serene, nuns were very nice and very helpful with bus schedules, etc. Nothing, everything was fine
